Pro’s
- Fast and Easy to use.
- Three different-sized feed chutes allow easy food deposit.
- Large work-bowl requires less emptying when working with large quantities.
- Dices fruit and vegetables into 1/2″ cubes with ease. Excellent for hashbrowns.
- The adjustable slicing disc allows you to dial any thickness from 1/32″ to 1/4″.
- The extra long electric cord is convenient and easily stored in the base of the unit.
- Cleaning is moderately easy.
Cons:
- The lid has a poor design that catches foods and causes blockage with cheeses and dense-type food.
- The shredding disc and Adjustable Slicing Disc are very flimsy stamped metal. The post design is too narrow to support the large disc.
- The storage case has a poor design for the chopping/mixing blade that doesn’t accommodate the blade easily.
- Customer support is not helpful and the wait time to speak to someone is totally ridiculous.
- The Limited Warranty will replace the part but inflate the product’s shipping cost to the customer.
- Too many water-catchers in the cover, large food pusher, medium-food pusher and small food pusher that you can’t dry when clean the equipment.

We purchased this product from Amazon on September 10, 2017, and I’ve used it several times. I call it the “Beast” because it tackles the most tedious job with easy. I have used each blade and disc as instructed and was relatively happy with its performance until the shredding disc broke when I was shredding some parmesan cheese. Pieces of metal broke off in the cheese and I had to throw it all away in fear that metal could be hidden in the cheese. I contacted Hamilton Beach and was made to wait 20 minutes for someone to take my call. Hamilton Beach agreed to replace the part but wanted $5.99 shipping. I explained that I lost $12.47 worth of parmesan cheese because of their flimsy metal disc but that fell on deaf ear. Hamilton Beach agreed to send me a new disc for a reduced postage of $3.99
