Toasted Sesame Seed Ahi Tuna
Fresh Ahi Tuna
Honey
Toasted Sesame Seeds
Soy Sauce (optional)
Wasabi Sauce (optional)
Pat dry the Ahi Tuna with a paper towel. With a brush, lightly coat each piece of Tuna with a thin layer of Honey. Once the Tuna is coated on all sides, roll Tuna in toasted Sesame seeds until well coated. Using a Cast Iron pan, heat pan to a med-high heat and place Tuna in the pan. Watch sides of Tuna, you see them changing color after 30-45 seconds. When the Tuna begins to show a doneness about 1/8 -1/4″ up the side of the Tuna, turn Tuna over in pan. Sear each side until all sides are seared and remove. Cut Tuna in 3/8″ slices with the grain of the Tuna (otherwise, the slices will fall apart). Mix Soy Sauce with Wasabi Sauce together to your liking and dip Tuna in the mixture…. Bon Appetit!!!
