Brie, Pistachios & Blueberry Appetizer

This simple appetizer takes minutes to make, minutes to bake, and will give your guest an unexpected delight when the flavors explode in their mouths.  You can use almost type of rolls.  A baguette would be great, but if you only have a hoagie roll, a French Bread, or any other type of bread, so be it… use it!  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh bread roll
  • Fresh blueberries (frozen blueberries will work too.)
  • Brie Cheese
  • Pistachios

Directions:

Cut the roll on a diagonal cut between 1/4″ to a 1/2″ thick.  Place bread on cookie sheet.  Cut Brie between 1/8″ to 1/4″ and center on the bread.  Add 3 blueberries to each piece of bread.  Add a Pistachio between each blueberry.

Place in preheated oven for 5-8 minutes.  Brie cheese will melt very quickly.  Remove and let stand for 1 minute for cheese to firm up a little bit and plate.  Serve hot or room temperature.  Bon Appetit!

  • I thought this was a joke at first. I made it and now I’m taking it to our family’s Thanksgiving Dinner. I never would have thought to put these items together and what a great experience they would be together. Good Job Count!
