Fresh Organic Strawberry Spring Mix Salad Topped and Homemade Strawberry Dressing

 

Here is a simple and easy to make fresh organic strawberry spring mix salad that is refreshing, delicious and very healthy for you.  This salad mixture provides robust natural flavors while promoting good health. Check it out, fresh organic Strawberries are packed with vitamins, fiber, and particularly high levels of antioxidants known as polyphenols, they are sodium-free, fat-free, cholesterol-free, low-calorie food. Avocado is virtually the only fruit that contains heart-healthy monounsaturated fat – good fat!  Add in some Chia seeds, one of the most popular superfoods in the health community and Black Walnuts, which are low in saturated fat, high in unsaturated fat, and a good source of protein. Green leaf lettuce contains 105 percent of the daily value of vitamin K, while romaine has 85 percent. it also delivers 10 percent of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C.  Baby Spinach is low in fat and even lower in cholesterol, spinach is high in niacin and zinc, as well as protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese.  In other words, it’s loaded with good things for every part of your body!

Organic Salad Ingredients:

  • Baby Spinach
  • Baby Green Romaine Lettuce
  • Baby Red Romaine Lettuce
  • Tango
  • Baby Red Oakleaf Lettuce
  • Baby Green Oakleaf Lettuce
  • Baby Red Chard
  • Baby Green Chard
  • Lolla Rosa
  • Arugula
  • Baby Greenleaf Lettuce
  • Baby Redleaf Lettuce
  • Avocado, sliced into 1/4″ slices
  • Chia Seeds
  • Black Walnuts
  • Fresh Strawberries, roughly chopped into bite-size pieces.

Organic Strawberry Dressing Ingredients: (2 Servings)

  • 6 Large Organic Strawberries
  • 1/3 cup of oil (Avocado, Peanut, Grape Seed, or any other neutral-flavor vegetable oil)
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.

Puree strawberries and add remaining ingredients, mix well and served chilled.

Instructions:

Combine all the leafy greens in a large bowl, add avocado slices, Chia Seeds, Black Walnuts, and Strawberries.  Top with Strawberry Dressing and serve.  Bon Appetit!!!
