Happy Dobie Doggie Treats
Happy Dobie Doggie Treats are fun to make and nutritional too. My Dobie Girls could smell the ingredients going together and didn’t wander too far away from the kitchen when the treats were being made. It’s a simple four-ingredient recipe that takes minutes to put together and bake in 20 minutes. You can get a little fancy and use a cookie cutter, but I assure you if you make them into little cookies treats your furry friend(s) will really know you love them.
Ingredients:
- 6 strips of bacon, well done and crispy.
- 1 cup of shredded Cheddar Cheese.
- 3 cups raw oatmeal.
- 1/2 cup oatmeal, ground into flour.
- 5 large eggs.
- Optional: Pam Non-Stick Spray
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Makes about 24 treats.
- Using a food processor, process about 1/2 cups of oatmeal into a fine powder and set aside.
- Add oats, bacon, and cheese together in the processor and allow the mixture to chop the oats, bacon, and cheese into fine pieces.
- Add eggs and allow the mixture to combine into a sticky dough.
- Dust your work surface with a healthy portion of the oatmeal flour.
- Optional: Pam cooking spray on rolling pin to avoid sticking.
- Roll out the mixture into a 1/4″ thick sheet.
- Using a cookie cutter or other tool of choice, cut to form each treat.
- Place the treats on a cookie sheet lined with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
- Treats only slightly darken when cooked, about 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely 20 -25 minutes before serving to your pets.
- Bow WOW!
